I have a Christmas Spode china set and used to store all the pieces in original boxes. Then I had a basement flood and lost all the boxes. I purchased this set to help me store my pieces. I have 16 dinner plates and 16 dessert plates and I easily stored them along with many other serving pieces. I used the mug storage for dinner plates and all 16 dessert plates fit in one piece.
