7 of 8 of these glass jars are great. One jar had a chip in the lip and a chewed up gasket. Since a single item can't be replaced and I don't want to waste resources to ship the whole box back, the seven good ones are a bit more expensive each since I have to toss one out. The gaskets are ok, but not very powerful. I'm using these containers to corral tea and drink packages instead of having lots of different sized boxes, so being airtight (or not) isn't an issue for my needs. I was considering buying smaller versions of these for spices but those would need an airtight seal. These are good for aesthetic purposes.I would buy larger than you think you need. Great air tight top, and the glass is durable. I dropped one and it didn't break. I don't know if that was luck or the product.I received damaged box and item. But I must appreciate the customer service. Errol asked me what I want replacement or refund. I opted for refund and it was immediately issued.It is because of the customer service that I am an Amazon shopper.By the way, the containers are right size and look good also if you receive them intact…Thought I was getting bigger containers. Still works though..Very easy to clean, the seal stripping comes out to be able to clean in and around it. Very sturdy! Fit perfectly in my tiny cabinet!Looks classy and fits kitchen design. If worried about broken glass, fear not. Been through that ordeal and they did it right. It was actually hard to unpack it. Done well. There was a smell when opening, long story short, it's in the lids. Soaked them for an hour in the sink with a little bleach and Dawn. Dried for 24 hours, good to go. I would have bought a different set if knew I wouldn’t have 9 of them but no big deal, they are still cute… I did not expect to much when I saw them with regard to the durability and as I thought, the glass is kind of thin and seams easily breakable. They are more for the look!The jars are a good size, and the tops fit well. The glass seems a little thin, but washes and handles well. Great value for glass jars this size.Used them for spice jars.
